The Secret Son in printI was born and grew up in Ireland, and have been writing from a young age. Having studied Philosophy & Political Science in Trinity College Dublin, I took a year out to work and travel. Visiting Asia, Australia, New Zealand & South America was inspiring and I could write a hundred books about our adventures!

The law was something I had always been drawn to during my study of Political Science, so I went back to college and completed a post-graduate diploma in legal studies with DIT. I then secured a solicitor traineeship, took my entrance exams and after the training period, qualified as a solicitor in 2011.

I had been writing on and off in my spare time for as long as I can remember, but finally decided to give my stories the time and energy they needed to become fully-fledged novels.

With the help of the wonderful staff at the Irish Writers Centre, my writing flourished and in 2012, I finished The Secret Son. It was not until the following year that I spotted the Write a Bestseller competition run by Poolbeg Press and TV3. Feeling particularly positive that day, I decided to enter…and the rest is history.
